I have always ordered the Asurion Insurance when it is available – this accompanied a 4-slice Cuisinart toaster gift to my son and family – the children are having so much fun making their own breakfast before school! And with the insurance, we know they will continue to have fun for years!

Add-on to above review: I have yet to receive the “protection plan service agreement via separate email from Amazon”! Not so happy with this purchase after all! I placed order December 4, 2020, and it is now January 18, 2021 – well after the Christmas gift was given – what gives???

I paid $84.99 (plus $24.99 for shipping and handling) for a portable ice maker and $14.99 for a 4 year extended plan. Of course, it is 3 months past the 1 year manufacturer’s warranty and the ice maker is broken. I learned that under the so-called warranty, I am only receiving a credit on my Amazon card for $84.99. Well the cost of the identical ice maker will cost me $129.99 for the ice maker plus the costs of shipping and handling which will be about $24.99 and the additional cost of a warranty ($14.99) for a total cost of $169.97. Which means after being reimbursed for the cost of the old ice maker, I have to pay approximately $84.98 out-of-pocket for a new ice maker with my warranty plan. What is the purpose of a warranty when you don’t replace an item at the same costs of what it will cost you to replace it? It will cost me money after a warranty? That is not how warranties work!

Can you get a low enough temperature to just simmer?
Answer: Yes there is a temperature dial, the hottest setting on the dial will boil your food and you can easily simmer on the lower settings.

What is the weight capacity of the burner?
Answer: I??m not entirely sure but my sauce pan, pasta pot and skillet work on it just fine. Contact the seller if you have a cast iron skillet or anything of that material and weight for a better review on the details.

Does it itself make any noise when cooking ?

How do I contact for warranty
Answer: You can email the company directly or through Amazon.

Does the indicator light cycle on and off to let you know when the element is heating up (cycling on) and cycling off? Also is the knob hot to touch?
Answer: The light stays on until it hits a max temp and then the light turns off. The knob is not hot to touch.
