I purchased this extended warranty for a dehumidifier that I had been warned through reviews has issues. I usually don’t buy these because it doesn’t often pay to do this. The unit did indeed die, but within the original manufacturer’s warranty period. Instead of replacing my dehumidifier, the manufacturer decided to credit me with my original purchase price (I think it is because the replacement was nearly double the cost) with what felt like no sympathy for the additional costs associated with this which were the extended warranty and the disposal fee I would need to pay.

I contacted Asurion about this issue, asking, hoping that I would get some kind of response. Basically I just forwarded the information that I had been dialoguing with the manufacturer about and asking if I was out of luck. I received an email back in literally five minutes from the company, and it wasn’t a completely automated response. I followed the directions that they sent, but that didn’t work because the return period had closed and it locked me out of that function. I took a screen shot of that message, sent it in an email and, about 40 minutes later the reply (from an actual person) said that I would be getting a credit to my account because of the refund from the manufacturer, stating, “As the manufacturer is providing a full refund of the unit, we will be able to provide a reimbursement of the protection plan as there will no longer be an item to protect.” They said that they would take care of it. Less than 12 hours later I had a notice that my account had a credit.

What a great example of responsiveness. I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase from this company.

I purchased an Asurion plan for a new dehumidifier purchased on Amazon. Included in the documentation provided by Asurion was a welcome email, an invoice and a protection plan document. NONE of these documents identified the item to be covered by the plan or even the Amazon order number for the item. Asurion certainly knows what it is that they are insuring, so is it so problematic to include that information on their customer documentation? I called Asurion to inquire about this and was told that all I needed was the Amazon order number. So, in the future, I will need to match an Asurion invoice that gives no hint of what is covered with an old Amazon order number when I want to make a claim! Unsatisfactory! If you buy an Asurion policy be sure to annotate it with the item to be covered.

What is the return policy if product does not meet satisfaction?
Answer: The company was very helpful in my return. They troubleshooted with me and then refunded.

Can this work for a crank out window?
Answer: Yes, it should. There is a plastic piece that the exhaust hose clips into and you set it on the window sill. So as long as it’s not a super small window, it should work just fine. I just wouldn’t crank open the window the whole way, just enough that the hot air can blow out.

Never used a portable ac. i want 1 4 my kitchen. do i have to have a window? it’s not very easy to vent.
Answer: Hello and thank you for posting your inquiry in regards to the TECCPO 3-in-1 Portable Air Conditioner. The exhaust hose must be vented through a window or a door to prevent the cold and warm air from mixing which will lessen the cooling performance.

How big is the exhaust hose diameter
Answer: Lock in opening ID 6 inches, so the hose is approx 6 inch.

Will it fit in a window that has an opening of 27??x 11???
Answer: The window insert minimum opening is 26.75 inches.

The back slide plate to lock down the insert would need to be cut for a window less than 37 inches.
