I previously purchased this coverage for a portable A/C I purchased a few years ago. Of course this year the A/C gave out & remembered I had the coverage. I msde a claim & they walked me through the entire process making it very easy. The customer service Agents were great & the end result was that it couldn’t be repaired so I was issued an Amazon credit for the amount of the item. I received my credit quickly too. I purchased another A/C unit & a 4yr coverage for my new A/C.

I bought this for the $800.00 window AC unit. The second month i had an issue of not cooling and the company notified me by e mail my unit wasnt covered!!! Dont buy extended warranties (i knew better but..)

It comes with a 1 year warranty. You can purchase an extended warranty for just under $80.00. The extended warranty is sold and serviced by Asurion. You can also purchase a 3 year extended warranty. Keep in mind that while this unit bears the name Honeywell, it is not made by Honeywell, but by a company called Jmatek??

Does the hose adapt for a vertically sliding window

Yes it will fit in a vertical window just as easy as a horizonal window. However the window panel needs to sit into a grove of the window opening and the hose connection is round which prevents the panel from sitting correcting in the grove of the window.
